The organic coconut blossom sugar comes from the island of Java in Indonesia and is processed by hand. It is exclusively produced using the pure nectar of coconut palm (Cocos nucifera). The flowers of the coconut palm are trimmed and their sap is harvested. This sap is then boiled down to a syrup until it crystallizes. It is processed into granules and then ground. The resulting sugar is 100% natural and unrefined.

Use:

• Organic coconut blossom sugar is highly soluble and can be used in a ratio of 1: 1 to brown sugar or whole cane sugar. Ideal for cooking and baking hot or cold dishes. It is also a popular ingredient in Asian cuisine.

Sustainability:

• The coconut sugar is grown on small farms using traditional growing methods. The methods used are considered the most sustainable way to produce the coconut sugar. For 60 years, the coconut trees grow their fruit. They need very little water but produce twice as much yield per hectare as raw cane sugar does.
