Soapnut shells - 100% plant-based detergent

The active substance saponin contained in the shells of soapnuts has excellent detergent power with an antibacterial effect. When contact with warm water, a mild detergent base is formed.

ÖkoKraft Soapnuts are suitale for use on all colour and white fabrics, including silk and wool. Soapnuts clean the textiles much like conventional detergent - without the harsh chemicals. Dirt is removed effectively and gently, while the colours stay fresher for longer due to saponin having an ink-friendly property. Soapnuts are odourless.

The soapnut shells are free from additives, making them ideal for allergy sufferers and people with sensitive skin. The herbal ingredient saponin is also very skin-friendly.

Using soapnut shells as a laundry detergent is not only ecologically but also very efficient and inexpensive. In low temperature ranges, the same soapnuts can be used two or three times.

Simply dispose of the soapnuts in your organic waste after use as they are 100% biodegradable.

Simple application:
Gently crush 5-7 shells (= 10g) and fill in a cotton bag. Close the bag securely, place between the laundry and start the washing cycle as usual.

Suitable for white cotton, linen, hemp, mixed fabrics and fast colour cotton. Gently removes stubborn stains such as tea, coffee, fruit and wine without bleachs.
Suitable for pre-treating stains and brightening greying and yellowed garments.
