Description

Murumuru butter is extracted from the fruit of palm trees that grow in Brazil and the Amazon. It has a soft consistency and is yellow in colour with an aroma that is vaguely reminiscent to that of hazelnuts.

Because the butter is particularly rich in short-chain, saturated fatty acids, it does not become so rancid too quickly. At the same time, it contains large amounts of lauryl, myristyl, palmitic, stearic and linoleic acids, which ensure its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. The high content of linoleic acid softens the skin and allows it to regain its natural firmness and hydration.

It also forms a protective barrier and is therefore an ideal treatment for dry skin. As a hair care product, Murumuru butter provides more shine and combats dryness and revives dull, stressed hair.
