Maharishi Ayurveda Ayurvedic Body Care Basic Set - Vata

The Double-Face Garshan Linen Gloves included are ideal for a Garshan massage. The skin-friendly gloves are made in Upper Austria and are perfect to remove dead skin cells and leave the skin feeling supple and smooth. After a Garshan massage, a short oil massage with the Vata Organic Massage Oil is recommended.

How to use the Garshan Linen Gloves:
Can be used up to 4 minutes daily. If possible, massage with the whole hand, ie with the fingers, palms and ball of the hand.
The massage begins on the neck (omit the head and face).
Upper and lower arms, thighs and lower legs as well as the back are massaged with long, straight strokes. Move with gentle circular motions on the joints.
The chest area can be massaged in straight or circular strokes, leaving out the heart area, depending on your preference.
The abdominal area is massaged in a clockwise circular motion. Begin at the bottom right above the hip.
After the massage you should finish with a 10-minute bath or a warm shower.
Important: always massage your arms and legs towards your body. Whenever possible, the massage should be carried out synchronously (e.g. on the outside of the right though with the right hand and on the outside of the left thigh with the left hand).

Notes on the Garshan Linen Gloves:

• Gloves can be hand washed in lukewarm water with a gentle soapy solution after purchase and as needed.
• Wash at 30° C before first use.

The Vata Organic Massage Oil is perfect for normal to dry skin. It consists of sesame oil refined with Ayurvedic herbs such as sand mallow, winter cherry, bindweed and mimosa.

How to use the Vata Organic Massage Oil:
Ayurvedic scriptures recommend a daily massage with warm oil 15 minutes before bathing or showering.
