Ölmühle Solling Organic Greek Extra Virgin Koroneiki Olive Oil, 500 ml

This oil is pressed from Koroneiki olives that have ripened under ideal conditions on the Greek Peloponnese peninsula. The Koroneiki olive is a small, firm olive that is known for its intense fruitiness. This flavour makes up the basis for this tasty, fruity but not bitter olive oil.

In recent years, a small group of growers decided to start growing organic olives. These olive groves are planted close to each other at an altitude of 500m and follow the strict quality guidelines set out by Vita Verde. At this altitude, the fruits get more hours of sunshine and therefore ripen fully for a stronger, fruitier taste. The olive groves are not irrigated.

Fully ripe olives are hand-picked, transported in baskets and taken by the farmers directly to the oil mill where they are sorted. Only the best olives are chosen for the first cold pressing which produces this high-quality, mild and fruity olive oil.
