Red palm oil is valued for its naturally high content of carotenoids (vitamin A) and tocotrienols (vitamin E). Palm oil is very heat-stable and is used to refine exotic vegetable, pasta and rice dishes as well as for baking and roasting. This red palm oil is a virgin vegetable oil that is obtained from organically grown oil palms and is characterized by its unique taste and intense orange colour.

Red palm oil is obtained by cooking the pulp (mesocarp) of the palm fruit (Elaeis guineensis). In contrast to white palm kernel oil, it has a natural, ruby-red colour, which is a result of the exceptionally high content of carotenoids. In order to preserve its valuable properties, native red palm oil is not bleached, deodorised, refined or extracted with solvents.

Due to its fatty acid composition, red palm oil is both heat and oxidation stable and can be used for baking and frying. Palm oil is also used in skin care.

Do not overheat. The oil is suitable for frying, flavouring and adding a touch of colour to pasta and rice dishes, soups and sauces. Also, it can be mixed with virgin coconut oil for warm, flavourful dishes.
